A view of the lake from the restored landing stage alongside the Boathouse. The Lakeside Cafe and Boathouse can be clearly seen with Carriage Drive running along the lake edge through the line of trees.
In 1902 the boathouse when newly completed housed 150 boats together with a boatbuilders shop!
The lake is used regularly by keen fishermen and on Saturdays throughout the year the Leeds Rowing Club and White Rose Canoe Club meet and make good use of this beautiful stretch of water.
