From this viewpoint on Princes Avenue, at the entrance to the Coronation Gardens and Tropical World, looking to the South can be seen the row of former cottages some of which form ‘The Roundhay Fox’ public house.

To the right of the road a raised grass bed provides an excellent year-round display of carpet bedding, which often celebrates a local anniversary or event.

Directly across the road a terrace of seven, two storey, slate roofed cottages, dating from the early 19th century with 20th century alterations can be seen located at the junction of Mansion Lane and Princes Avenue.

Princess Avenue runs along the route of a pathway, which used to link the main estate to the Kitchen Gardens and Canal Gardens. This road cuts a swathe through Roundhay Park and links the residential areas of Oakwood and Roundhay.
