The Mansion at Roundhay Park is a Grade II listed building built in the early 1800's, recently completely refurbished to a very high standard. The Mansion is now operated by 'Dine' and rooms can be booked for corporate events, weddings, receptions and functions. The Mansion is now licensed to hold Wedding and Civil ceremonies - a great venue! The Garden Room Cafe Restaurant offers a fantastic location within Roundhay Park for a range of delicious refreshments. The Garden Room Cafe Restaurant gives visitors the opportunity to dine in the beautifully restored building and sample a delicious locally-inspired menu. The Cafe Restaurant is open as follows (advertised opening hours Summer 2009); Sunday - Wednesday 10am - 5.30pm (last orders 5pm) Thursday - Saturday 10am - 10pm (last orders 9pm) The Mansion, Leeds is an impressive regency country house, situated in 700 acres of woodland and water gardens at Roundhay Park, Leeds. The house was built in 1811 after architect John Clarke was commissioned to design it by the then owner of Roundhay Park, Thomas Nicholson. The building and park were then acquired for the people of Leeds in 1871 by Mayor John Barran and in the 20th century The Mansion gained local and national renown as a cafe, bar and restaurant, carvery and party venue and was acknowledged as one of the very best historic city venues in the country. The Mansion closed its doors in 2003 to undergo a long period of renovation and refurbishment, and re-opened in August 2009.
