Information:

The Magical Lantern Festival is back in Yorkshire following the hugely successful festival last year at Roundhay Park.
Due to the exceptional demand for tickets, to accommodate more visitors, this year it will be open five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday each week and open every day during the Xmas holidays apart from Xmas Eve and Xmas Day.

This year's Christmas themed Lantern Festival will illuminate part of Roundhay Park turning it into a spectacular fusion of dual culture, vibrant colours and artistic sculptures! Prepare to enter a magical experience and discover life-sized and large-than-life lanterns in all shapes and forms, from 'Polar Bears on Ice' to a magnificent giant 'Chinese Temple of Heaven' lantern recreation.

The festival will not only wow visitors with its beautiful hand-sculpted lanterns, the entertainment area adds another dimension to this wonderful night out with a food and drink area, bar, Santa's Grotto, handful of fairground rides for children and merchandise marquee where visitors can buy a souvenir of their experience to take home. The festival is open from 5pm to 10pm with last entry at 9pm.

The Festival promises visitors a truly amazing experience, a visual feast of light and illumination, hidden in a corner of the park, close to Tropical World.

Visitors will see some of the most artistic and beautifully constructed lantern installations outside of China. The lanterns represent and celebrate Christmas and Chinese culture and heritage.
